Baseline Assessment Report: Kharkiv & Lviv Oblasts (2008) English | Ukrainian
This report presents the findings of the baseline assessment in the first two oblasts where TfH started working in 2006: Kharkiv in Eastern Ukraine and Lviv in the West. The primary purpose of the baseline assessments was to assess the current status of FP/RH knowledge, attitudes & practices, the quality of services and the availability of commodities to inform project development and to serve as a point of comparison for measuring TfH's impact in the future. It includes results from assessments of health facilities and pharmacies, self-administered client exit questionnaires, a collection of facility statistics, and information on the availability of contraceptive products and their prices.

The report highlights key level FP/RH indicators, obtained at baseline of project start-up, in the respective oblasts. It includes assessment of availability and affordability of contraceptives in health facilities and pharmacies around them; assessment of availability of client brochures and posters in health facilities and pharmacies, self-administered client exit questionnaires to women of reproductive age and provider knowledge, attitudes and practices questionnaire. The primary purpose of the baseline assessments was to assess the current status of FP/RH knowledge, attitudes & practices, the quality of services, and the availability of commodities, to inform project development and to serve as a point of comparison for measuring TfH's impact in the future.
