Baseline Assessment Report: Kharkiv & Lviv Oblasts (2008) English | Ukrainian
This report presents the findings of the baseline assessment in the first two oblasts where TfH started working in 2006: Kharkiv in Eastern Ukraine and Lviv in the West. The primary purpose of the baseline assessments was to assess the current status of FP/RH knowledge, attitudes & practices, the quality of services and the availability of commodities to inform project development and to serve as a point of comparison for measuring TfH's impact in the future. It includes results from assessments of health facilities and pharmacies, self-administered client exit questionnaires, a collection of facility statistics, and information on the availability of contraceptive products and their prices.

The report highlights key level FP/RH indicators, obtained at baseline of project start-up, in the respective oblasts. It includes assessment of availability and affordability of contraceptives in health facilities and pharmacies around them; assessment of availability of client brochures and posters in health facilities and pharmacies, self-administered client exit questionnaires to women of reproductive age and provider knowledge, attitudes and practices questionnaire.
